Large Wall Clocks for Decorating Spacious Rooms
Time pieces have always been used as a decorative piece in the house. Clocks can come in many different shapes and sizes and it all boils down to the overall theme a specific space has. There are clocks that are stand alone while there are also those that are intended to be placed on top of the table. The most common, however, are wall clocks.
There are several reasons why most people depend on using these. Firstly, it would be always be safe high up on the wall that there will be no reason to worry about breaking it. Secondly, being up on the wall make it very easy to spot it that it becomes simpler to know what time it is.
There are many plain wall clocks available but more and more homeowners like having a better looking one because it would also have an impact on the ambiance of the room. There would be nothing better than large wall clocks to make a statement. These are best for empty looking walls and spacious rooms. The extensive designs these clocks have are enough to enliven a wall. Instead of splurging on a piece of artwork to successfully fill the space, unique wall clocks can be a cheaper alternative. Because the clock face is big, then it would not be an exaggeration to say that it can transform the overall theme of the room. There are even designs that would be heavy enough that it can be the only decorative piece on the wall.
The material and the design of a wall clock should be chosen according to the theme of the surrounding area where it will be used. It is also important to remember not to put it near other heavily-laden decorative ornaments as there may be a contest in emphasis.
Remember that clocks are not meant to be placed dead center. Although there are some people who get away with it, it is much safer to use the rule of thirds. This is a basic rule in design where a point of interest should be situated somewhere there is balance in contrast to a spot where there is symmetry. The base color of the wall clockâs face and the color of the wall should be complementary.
