The Desk Clock and the Unifying Theme
There is no need to elaborate why a desk clock is a necessity at the office. It would be a better alternative than a wall clock because a person does not need to look up or look behind to check what time it is. This would be especially beneficial in smaller working areas. For instance, if the entire wall of the office would have glass and blinds then there would be no other place to have a wall clock hanged. More importantly, in the case of office setups where there are cubicles alone, it would be better to make use of the wall space for something else.
Finding the perfect clock would of course depend on the type of desk. For instance, if the desk is fine cherry mahogany, the clock should also have that luxurious feel.
