It would be a better alternative than a wall clock because a person does not need to look up or look behind to check what time it is. This would be especially beneficial in smaller working areas. For instance, if the entire wall of the office would have glass and blinds then there would be no other place to have a wall clock hanged. More importantly, in the case of office setups where there are cubicles alone, it would be better to make use of the wall space for something else.

Finding the perfect clock would of course depend on the type of desk. For instance, if the desk is fine cherry mahogany, the clock should also have that luxurious feel. It would look sorely out of place if a cheap clock was used to decorate it.

For instance, if it filled with computers and phones and other gadgets in sleek black finishing, then it would make sense to have a clock with the same clean cut finish. The table top is pretty much like a room, it usually follows a theme which means all of the accessories should have a unifying look and feel.

The exterior of the clock can be made of wood, metal and even plastic. There would be apt designs inspired by decorating styles that it would be easy to pair it with other accessories such as a lamp or a mirror.

A desk clock would say much about the person who is using the desk. While people who couldn’t care less can stick with classic designs, there are people who would rather have playful ones that would also enliven their desks. There are also clocks that have other features. For example, there are those that are able to measure humidity and temperature. There are also ones that are equipped with calendars that may be appreciated by people who are always under a deadline.
